Before anything goes in, what’s already in your company is checked and skipped. So you’re protected even after reinstalling, or on a different computer.

Anything set aside goes to the Duplicate tab. If one was really a separate transaction, bring it back with one click.
Questions
What is the short code at the end of the narration?
A reference that lets your entries be recognised later. It carries nothing from your books, and it’s what keeps duplicates out even on a new computer, so please leave it in place.
What if I also type the same entry by hand in Tally?
An entry typed by hand has no reference, so it can’t be recognised as the same one. Post each statement either through the extension or by hand, not both.
